Why does the steam turbine insulation cover use Beijing Feipufu smokeless ceramic fiber cloth? 

The insulation cover mentioned here refers to a flexible detachable insulation cover, which is composed of varioushigh-temperature-resistant fiber cloths and blankets through multiple sewing combinations. 

 

The equipment temperatures faced by flexible detachable insulation covers vary, ranging from as low as 100-200°C to as high as several hundred degrees Celsius. This requires different material selections to adapt to equipment with varying temperatures. 

For low-temperature flexible detachable insulation covers, the outer skin (including both the outermost layer and the side contacting the equipment) naturally does not require materials with extremely high temperature resistance. In most cases, glass fiber silicone cloth, glass fiber coated cloth, or even aramid cloth, meth纶 cloth, spandex cloth, etc., are sufficient. There is no need for high-temperature-resistant materials like Beijing Feipufu smokeless ceramic fiber cloth, which has a classification temperature of 1260°C. 

 

However, steam turbine insulation covers are more special. First, the surface temperature of the steam turbine is relatively high, and second, the fireproof requirements of the steam turbine's working environment are also strict. Therefore, the steam turbine insulation cover must serve two functions: thermal insulation and fire prevention. 

Consequently, the temperature resistance requirement for the outer skin of the steam turbine insulation cover is elevated. This is where ceramic fiber cloth comes into play. However, due to the high surface temperature of the steam turbine, the internal temperature of the insulation cover during operation is sufficient to carbonize and smoke the organic components in the yarn of the ceramic fiber cloth. This creates an unfriendly working environment, making Beijing Feipufu smokeless ceramic fiber cloth necessary. This is why steam turbine insulation covers use Beijing Feipufu smokeless ceramic fiber cloth.
